Free-Flex® Pivots

Double Ended Pivot

Fixed at both ends — the center section rotates, providing symmetric stiffness and larger angular range than single-ended configurations.

Double Ended Pivot

Product Overview

The double ended Free-Flex® pivot is designed so that the flexure is fixed at both ends, allowing the center section to rotate. This configuration effectively doubles the angular range available compared to a single-ended cantilevered design while maintaining the same frictionless, zero-wear operation.

The symmetric fixturing provides balanced stiffness and minimizes parasitic motion — making double ended pivots ideal for applications requiring precise, repeatable angular motion without any bias or offset due to structural asymmetry.

Like all Free-Flex® pivots, the double ended configuration requires no lubrication, generates no particles, and operates reliably in vacuum, cryogenic, and clean room environments.
