Eddy current proximity probes for precise position and vibration measurement in harsh, contaminated turbomachinery environments.

The eddy current proximity probe detects changes in the magnetic flux density field generated by the presence of a material target. These changes, detected by the probe, are proportional to the distance to the target and dependent on both the magnetic properties and bulk conductivity of the material.
Riverhawk's eddy current probes are immune to various contaminated elements such as oil and dirt, and have proven to be reliable in such environments — making them the ideal choice for turbomachinery applications.
In addition to a wide range of available probes, Riverhawk provides custom engineered probes for specific applications. 4–20mA loop-powered transmitters convert probe output to a standard signal for DCS and PLC systems.
Our engineers are available to assist with product selection, sizing, and custom configurations.
