A vibration transducer incorporating a spring-mass system using eddy current damping — with resolutions down to the micro-inch range.

Riverhawk seismic sensors (transducers) are velocity and acceleration vibration measurement devices that incorporate a spring-mass system using eddy current damping. This design allows for resolutions down to the micro-inch range, making them suitable for high-accuracy vibration monitoring in critical machinery.
Unlike proximity probes — which measure relative shaft motion — seismic sensors measure absolute vibration of the structure to which they are attached. This makes them the appropriate choice for bearing housing vibration measurement and casing vibration monitoring on turbomachinery.
Riverhawk seismic transducers are designed for use in harsh industrial environments and are compatible with standard monitoring and recording systems.
