Product Overview
Lapping tools are a set of sacrificial gauges designed to repair light damage or restore the taper to a specific coupling hub or shaft end. Taper contact of 95% or greater is guaranteed after lapping.
When a hub or shaft end taper sustains light surface damage, re-machining is expensive and time-consuming. Riverhawk lapping tools provide a cost-effective field solution to restore taper contact without removing the shaft from service.
